Project Linus

Project Linus was created in 1995 and their mission is, "to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer Blanketeers. " Since their inception they have been able to distribute over three million blankets to children in need. Project Linus is the organizations that the sunglass distributors, HBSC, choose to volunteer their service for this year. HBSunglassCompany.com made over 25 blankets hoping that they go to kids who will really appreciate them.

Give a Day, Get a Day

The Walt Disney Company running a promotion where if you volunteer your time you will get a free one day admission into the Disneyland Resort or the Walt Disney World Resort. The purpose is to inspire people to volunteer a day of their service to their community. You must register on the website and then complete your service from an eligible organization. HBSunglassCompany chose to do Project Linus and volunteer their time making blankets. Ticket quantities for this program are limited so if you are interested then you should sign up fast.
